Australian Turkish Association Inc

ATA The Australian Turkish Association is a non-profit organisation founded in 2005 to promote friendship and understanding between the Australian Turkish community and the broader Australian community through social, educational, cultural and charitable activities on the Gold Coast.

ATA is financed through membership dues, donations and fundraising activities.

ATA's primary goals are

  • to promote Turkish culture and heritage
  • to bring together Australian Turkish people and friends of Turkey for promoting Turkish history, culture, and related issues
  • to provide assistance to Australian Turkish people on settlement and related matters
  • to welcome and assist migrants, visitors, and students arriving from Turkey and other states in Australia
  • to maintain close relations with government and non-government organizations
  • to contribute to and promote multiculturalism through enhancing community relations between the Australian Turkish community and the broader Australian community

In order to meet these goals ATA organises conferences, seminars, concerts and exhibitions, as well as educational programs on Turkish culture. ATA will publish a monthly newsletter. The newsletter will present objective and fair views about Turkey and the Australian Turkish community.
